We had the afternoon tea on a Saturday & it was beauuuutiful!
The food was so tasty (especially the sausage rolls, chicken sandwich & opera cake) & the service was top notch - thank you George!
One of the best cafes in the area to work remotely.
Pros:
- Amazing wifi that hit up to 80mbps download!
- A ton of seating, looks way bigger than you think. There's an outdoor terrace with lots of seating, seats downstairs and upstairs. Plenty of power ports available.
- While we were here, there weren't too many people so you can find a place to take work calls if needed
- Selection of standard coffee drinks, teas, and hot chocolate (could use some funner drink selections)
- Morning pastries availability (wish there was more variety and quantity though)
- Nice, friendly customer service. You order at the register and then they bring the order to your seat
Cons:
- The food is pretty mediocre and I wish there were more options on the menu including drinks and food. The morning items are pretty similar variations of eggs and bread. The shakshuka was basic and tasted like it came from canned tomatoes and didn't come with enough bread. Could also use smaller, cheaper food items that are more like snacks versus meals.
- There was a woman in the kitchen who was very loud with her music and singing, and she seemed to be shouting while talking to others. It was a bit disruptive.
- We weren't able to use our VPN on their wifi which we needed for work.
Small plates dinner. Nice vibe, friendly staff. Food was good, really decent portion sizes for sharing. The salmon was served in the most delicious broth! Cod and beans were also excellent, although both fish would have been perfect if the skin was crispy! Would happily return, hopefully for a roast next time as often hear them being mentioned. Thanks!
